How to buy a skin
You pay with your balance, the seller sends the trade and the item arrives in your Steam inventory.

Choose the item
Use the market search and filters. On the item page you see the float, stickers, real photos and the store's reputation.

Compre
Click “Buy now” or add to the cart to take several at once. The amount comes out of your balance and is held until delivery.

Wait for the seller's offer
Track the order in Transactions. The seller has a deadline to send the trade offer; if they don't, the amount goes back to your wallet.

Accept the offer
When the offer arrives, click “Accept offer” in the transaction (requires the connected app) or accept on Steam.

Trade protection
After you accept, Steam keeps the trade under protection for about 8 days (Trade Protect). During this period the seller's payment remains held.
